but there can be obstacles to overcome along the way, while baby and
mother learn this new skill. If problems arise it is important that you
get help immediately.

those seeking more individualized help, our in-office Lactation Clinic
will be open on Wednesdays from 12-7pm and in-home consultations are
available by appointment.

Why a soap box? Because mothers need to be heard. We need a platform to share what makes us us. A forum to listen to each other. A place to step up and speak, but not so high that the village can't hear...
Why a derby? A derby is a race. We're running that marathon everyday, making dinner, making decisions, making people! We're running, but not against each other, for each other, together...
The BirthGirlz Soap Box Derby is an ongoing series of community forums for mothers to discuss real issues that impact family living in our local communities. The casual and intimate format offers the opportunity to share our personal and community-based successes, offer support and resources to each other, and promote participation in grassroots activism and advocacy.
