SHARE
Pregnancy & Infant Loss Support Group

Share is a support group for parents who have experienced the death of their baby(ies) from the time of conception through infancy. The group creates an atmosphere where grieving parents with similar experiences can come together and feel comfortable sharing their feelings about loss and their love for their babies. It is an open group.
Share Groups enable families to share in their sadness, find support and rebuild their hopes through connections, comfort and care. Share is an opportunity to come together with a community of other parents... to understand the experience of your loss...to see the uniqueness of your baby's life and the similarities of your experiences.

This Share Group meets the fourth Monday of every month from 7:00 pm to 8:30pm, in the Birthgirlz Community Office Space:

20 NE 41st Street Suite 2
Miami, Florida 33137

Groups are held in English only and are facilitated by a trained therapist. Participation is voluntary and all information is kept confidential.

Join us for the local ICAN of South Florida Chapter meeting!
Here is some information about ICAN from their website, www.ICAN-online.org:
The International Cesarean Awareness Network is a non-profit advocacy and support group whose mission is to improve maternal and child health by preventing unnecessary cesareans through education, provide support for cesarean recovery, and promote vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC). BirthGirlz Soap Box Derby!

Every mother has a story...
A powerful, overwhelming, joyous, disappointing, unexpected, inspiring, satisfying, transformational story.

Why a soap box? Because mothers need to be heard. We need a platform to share what makes us us. A forum to listen to each other. A place to step up and speak, but not so high that the village can't hear...

Why a derby? A derby is a race. We're running that marathon everyday, making dinner, making decisions, making people! We're running, but not against each other, for each other, together...

The BirthGirlz Soap Box Derby is an ongoing series of community forums for mothers to discuss real issues that impact family living in our local communities. The casual and intimate format offers the opportunity to share our personal and community-based successes, offer support and resources to each other, and promote participation in grassroots activism and advocacy. Topics for discussion are truly unlimited and often include:

Birth Options and Experiences
Overcoming Previous Trauma
The Real Deal on Mothering and Parenting
Connecting with Like-Minded Mamas & Families
Mothering Beyond the Baby Days
Making It Work for Your Family

We'd love to host a Soap Box Derby in YOUR area!
